Our Story

Born from a shared passion for hospitality, exceptional food, and the vibrant flavors of coastal Italy. After more than three decades shaping Boston’s culinary scene with Barbara Lynch’s world-renowned restaurants, Colin and Heather Lynch, along with business partner Jefferson Macklin, embarked on a new journey to bring the beauty and simplicity of Italian dining to the South End.

Bar Mezzana offers a warm, inviting space where spritzes, hand-rolled pastas, and an award-winning crudo menu shine alongside genuine hospitality. Guided by Beverage Director Ryan Lotz, our wine program celebrates small producers, passionate winemakers, and sustainable practices. It’s a thoughtfully curated mix of beloved classics and hidden gems, each chosen to perfectly complement Chef Colin Lynch’s dishes. Our cocktails are equally inspired, blending seasonal flavors with traditional Italian influences. From the perfect Negroni to creative seasonal creations, and an array of classic Amari.
